Ofsted

Information
Redwood Scholars Tuition Ltd is registered on Ofsted Voluntary Childcare Register for the provision of childcare in the form of tuition.

Being registered with OFSTED offers you peace of mind on quality and standard issues such as child protection procedures, health and safety, not to mention there may be substantial cost SAVINGS to you too!

Child Protection:

To be registered with OFSTED as a childcare provider, we have to meet certain standards for child protection and well-being. We hold certificates in Paediatric First Aid and our centres are very safe and secure, with all staff having an enhanced DBS checks.  Although we did already make sure that health and safety and child protection was a priority, the OFSTED registration gives the official approval to our standards.

Working Tax Credits:

If you receive Working Tax Credits, you may be able to claim as much as 70% of your tuition fee as childcare costs. For tuition by fully qualified teachers in a professionally equipped tuition centre, this is very affordable extra help for your child!

To find out if you are eligible to claim Working Tax Credits for childcare at Redwood Scholars, call the Tax Credit Helpline on 0345 300 3900 or read Leaflet WTC5. When applying you need to advise HMRC that you are seeking help with childcare and quoting our Ofsted registration – Redwood Scholars Tuition Ltd ref: 2727115.

Employer’s Childcare Vouchers:

We accept childcare vouchers from any recognised scheme operator. Childcare vouchers provided by an employer could qualify you and your employer for Income Tax and National Insurance Contributions (NICs) exemptions. If you receive childcare vouchers as part of your salary, you can use these to pay for your child’s tutoring. We will need to register with your childcare voucher provider to do this, so let us know at the earliest opportunity who your scheme is with, so we don’t delay your saving. If your employer doesn’t currently offer childcare vouchers, ask them whether they would be willing to look into it. Both employees and employers can make Tax and National Insurance savings by using the childcare voucher schemes. HMRC leaflet IR115 explains the scheme for both Employers and Employees.

NB! The above assistance is outside the control of Redwood Scholars Tuition and, whereas we shall offer you any help we can, childcare to you will be provided on our usual terms and conditions.
